Realme GT 8 Pro India launch and variants
Realme GT 8 Pro has been officially launched in India as the brand’s new GT-series flagship. The phone was unveiled on
20 November 2025, with first sale scheduled from 25 November via Flipkart and the Realme India online store.
In India, the GT 8 Pro comes in Diary White and Urban Blue colour options, along with a special
Dream Edition that focuses on design customisation using detachable rear camera deco plates.
Display and secondary (back) display
On the front, the Realme GT 8 Pro features a 6.79-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED “HyperGlow” display with a resolution of
1440 × 3136 pixels, up to 144Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a claimed
7,000 nits peak brightness. The panel supports 10-bit colour, high PWM dimming and is protected by toughened glass.
There is no separate secondary/back display on the Indian variant. Instead, Realme focuses on a unique
“switch design” for the camera module, allowing users to swap decorative camera island plates for a more
personalised look without adding another screen on the rear.
Processor and performance
At its heart, the Realme GT 8 Pro runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 built on a 3nm process, paired with
Adreno 840 GPU. This is among the most powerful mobile SoCs right now and is tuned here with Realme’s
Hyper Vision+ AI chip and GT Boost 3.0 performance engine for sustained gaming and camera workloads.
Realme also uses a large vapor chamber cooling system to keep temperatures under control during extended gaming
or 4K/8K video recording, aiming for stable frame rates rather than short-lived benchmark spikes.
RAM and storage options (India)
In India, the Realme GT 8 Pro is offered in two main configurations:
- 12GB LPDDR5X RAM + 256GB UFS 4.1 storage – base variant.
- 16GB LPDDR5X RAM + 512GB UFS 4.1 storage – top regular variant.
The Realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition also ships with 16GB + 512GB, but is distinguished by its
design-focused packaging and extra “deco set” accessories for the switchable camera island.
Ricoh GR camera system and 200MP telephoto
The headline feature of the GT 8 Pro is its Ricoh GR-branded camera system. Realme has partnered with
Ricoh’s iconic GR line to tune imaging, film simulations and colour science.
- Main: RICOH GR camera, 50MP sensor with OIS and fast aperture for everyday shooting.
- Ultra-wide: 50MP ultra-wide camera for landscapes and tight indoor spaces.
- Telephoto: 200MP periscope telephoto with OIS, offering high-resolution zoom and improved detail at longer focal lengths.
- Front: 32MP selfie camera housed in a punch-hole cutout.
The camera stack supports up to high-resolution zoom, 8K and advanced 4K video modes, as well as
Ricoh GR film tone profiles for more dramatic, street-style photos straight out of the camera.
Realme GT 8 Pro price in India
Realme is pitching the GT 8 Pro firmly in the premium flagship segment. India prices are as follows:
- 12GB + 256GB: ₹72,999
- 16GB + 512GB: ₹78,999
- GT 8 Pro Dream Edition (16GB + 512GB): ₹79,999
The phone will be sold via Flipkart and the Realme India online store, with early-bird offers
including bank discounts and bundled “deco set” accessories on select variants for a limited launch window.
Battery and charging
Powering the package is a large 7,000mAh “Titan” battery, one of the biggest battery capacities in its class.
Realme pairs this with:
- 120W wired fast charging for very quick top-ups.
- 50W wireless charging support on compatible chargers.
Realme claims all-day heavy usage with enough backup left for late-night browsing, especially when using the adaptive
refresh rate and power-saving modes baked into realme UI 7.0.
Dimensions and weight
Despite the big battery, the GT 8 Pro keeps things reasonably manageable:
- Dimensions: around 161.8 × 76.9 × 8.2 mm
- Weight: approx. 214–218g depending on the glass or vegan leather finish
- Durability: IP68 and IP69 rated for dust and water resistance
The curved back, rounded metal frame and switchable camera deco are all designed to make the large phone feel more
premium and less bulky in hand.
Software and special features
On the software side, the Realme GT 8 Pro runs realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 in India,
with Realme promising multiple years of OS and security updates.
Notable feature highlights include:
- Hyper Vision+ AI chip for camera processing, low-light improvements and AI-driven photo modes.
- GT Mode and GT Boost 3.0 for pushing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 during gaming.
- Ultra Haptic motor for stronger, more precise vibration feedback.
- Stereo speakers with dedicated bass enhancement for media and gaming.
- SignalCatcher antenna system and dedicated chip to improve network stability.
- In-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, 5G dual-SIM support and USB Type-C connectivity.
Put simply, the Realme GT 8 Pro is positioned as a full-on flagship for power users who care about imaging, display
quality and battery life, and are willing to pay premium pricing for a Realme device.
